The Public Sector (Federal Government) is dedicated to modernizing its strategies, harnessing the potential of data science and artificial intelligence (AI). With the volume of data processed doubling annually, there is a critical need for advanced tools capable of efficiently extracting relevant information from these expanding datasets. However, the development and deployment of these tools demand substantial computing power.

In addressing this challenge, the goal is not only to secure the necessary computational resources but also to establish efficient mechanisms for resource sharing. Additionally, there is a crucial need for the automation of tasks associated with retesting AI models on data from their initial construction to their integration into production. Streamlining these processes is essential for maximizing the effectiveness of the Public Sector's efforts in adapting technology of the 21st century.

Solution:

To meet the computing power requirements, Piros implemented a cutting-edge supercomputer system in collaboration with Uptime Group. This system boasts a Cisco AI server equipped with four Nvidia A100 GPUs, ensuring robust computational capabilities.

In a successful proof of concept, we established a Kubernetes infrastructure integrated with KubeFlow, a leading framework developed by Google and recognized as the de facto standard for AI and data science. This configuration optimally harnesses the Nvidia GPU resources within the Cisco AI server. From the developmental stages in Jupyter Notebooks to the seamless transition into production, KubeFlow facilitates efficient resource sharing.

Acknowledging the significance of an enterprise-backed open-source solution, our strategic alliance with Red Hat played a crucial role. Leveraging Red Hat OpenShift and the cutting-edge Red Hat AI platform, we ensured compatibility with KubeFlow standards. This collaboration not only guarantees robust support but also simplifies the task of sharing Nvidia GPUs, making it an indispensable component of our advanced solution.
